Page 2: Moraira Costa Blanca

Moraira was originally a small fishing village which has grown in recent years with the addition of a marina and a number of villa developments, however the town still retains much of its original charm away from the bright lights and disco bars and the high rise hotels due to strict planning controls.

The beaches have been awarded the EEC Blue Flags for cleanliness and very safe for family bathing. Other facilities include 3 large Golf courses, tennis, all water sports, boat hire & trips, horse riding, go-kart racing tracks for both adults & children, however, if these facilities are not of interest the area has a lot more to offer with its history, spectacular landscapes, hillside villages and local markets etc.

Eating out is a must with cafes & restaurants in Moraira and the surrounding areas all offering a wonderful range of food, from regional variations of Spanish to dishes from around the world. Alternatively there are well-stocked supermarkets providing everything one could need.
Moraira enjoys the subtropical Mediterranean climate with cool sea breezes in the summer and protection from the cold north winds in the winter by the surrounding mountains. Each year there is nearly 3000 hours of sunshine with an average temperature that easily exceeds 20 degrees. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round holiday.

Moraira is between the larger resorts of Calpe & Javea with Alicante Airport south and Valencia Airport north, both just over an hours drive away.
